Withdrawal and refunds

Last updated: août 2026

This page explains how the right of withdrawal applies to Ouvella digital gifts, and how to ask for help or a refund.

In short

Your gift is a digital file created and delivered immediately after payment. For this kind of product, the law lets you waive the 14-day withdrawal period — that’s what you accept by ticking the box at checkout. In practice: a gift that has already been generated is not refundable for a simple change of mind. However, if it has a technical problem, we help you fix it, and if that’s not possible, we refund you (legal guarantee of conformity).

Digital content supplied immediately

A Ouvella gift is digital content supplied immediately after payment: as soon as it's confirmed, you receive the gift link, its QR code, and a private management link.

Waiver of the right of withdrawal

Under Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content supplied immediately when its performance has begun with your prior express consent and you have acknowledged that you waive this right. By confirming your order and checking the consent box, you request that the creation and provision of your gift begin immediately, and you acknowledge that you waive your right of withdrawal once that performance has begun.

Before you begin

As long as you haven't paid, no performance has begun: you can freely edit or abandon your creation. The waiver only takes effect at payment, with your consent.

A problem with your gift?

If your gift doesn't work as expected, you benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity applicable to digital content and services (Article L224-25-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code). Write to us at contact@ouvella.com: we'll first try to fix the problem (you can also correct the content yourself from your private management link).

Requesting a refund

If the problem can’t be resolved, write to us at contact@ouvella.com with the email address you used at purchase and the nature of the problem.

Mediation

In the event of an unresolved dispute, you can use the European online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
